programmable joysticks and keyboards

not sure where to post this one, but the people on this site are so great at answering questions I figured I ought to try... heres my question. I am looking for a joystick or a keyboard that has keys or buttons that I can program a macro into. This on the surface sounds fairly easy but the one feature I am looking for is that I program it so once I press the button it will continue to do the macro assigned until I press it again. the few I have looked into so far have a repeat macro function as long as you hold the key. So heres hoping someone out there will have a clue what I am looking for.
