my FSB that is!!!! I'm having a hard time getting my fsb above 145, is there any tricks to get it up, i have the CPU core voltage at 1.85, i'm using the 6.00PG bios that came with the mobo (9/26/01). Could it be another piece of hardware that's holding me back? when i put the FSB too high, a windows error occurs when i try to load windows....

btw, at my current state, my CPU temp is a steady 35 idle, 38-40 under load...

i get windows errors (during boot) BSOD's when i have my cpu overclocked too much w/o upping the voltage. ex: i can run up to 1330mhz on my 1200 without upping my voltage. but if i go any higher i get BSOD during windows boot (win2k). if i then go into the bios and up the volt one notch, the problem goes away.

soooo...my guess is that may be a cause. try lowering your multiplyer and keep the FSB where you're getting erros. if you are still getting errors with the lower multiplyer, you may want to try taking out all unneccessary components (get rid of sound card, net card, extra ram sitcks, etc) to see if that fixes your problem. if you can then attain higher FSB after removal, try inserting one item at a time to see which one (or ones) are causing the problem.

good luck!

Thanx, i have a feeling it may be the ram, i ordered this twinmos, however it looks nothing like the ones on the twinmos website, there is no retail sticker, and OC'ing is a bitch....At pc2700, i should be hitting 166 no problem, especialy since i paid twice as much as crucial....

Who did you order it from? I was interested in trying out this TwinMos memory based on a very positive review ( don't remember where!). The TwinMos rep sent me these two sources in the states:
