hi,
i have opteron 165 on a generic asus mobo in a compaq system
with 2 gigs dual channel gskill ddr400
80gig maxtor in sata and a 160gig seagate on ide
480 watt antec true power.
I never noticed a problem before til I started playing shadowbane.
ppl can run multiple instances of shadowbane on lesser computers than mine, but when i run 2 clients i get BSOD with Bad_page_pool.
when i looked under event viewer it was listed as event id 4609 com+ sys event error.
i tested my ram with windiag from microsoft for 3 passes no errors.
so i formatted, reinstalled only the operating system and necessary files did not patch or update windows at all.
installed game, installed directx 9.0c .NET framework 1.1. nvidia latest drivers.
again BSOD same Bad_Page_Pool but no longer error in eventviewer under application this time its under system and the error is event id 1003 a DCOM error.
funny thing is, my motherboard has onboard ati 200 , when i use that i have no problems what so ever. can run multiple clients.
i just have a hard time believing its the video card, because its only 3 months old :( but i just want to make sure the problem is the video card before I RMA it.
so anyone have any suggestions to stressing the video cards memory to see if thats the problem or maybe something else that could be the problem?
