Well, I've got Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Call of Duty 2 and I finally got World of Warcraft to work on my computer. After playing FPS, I'm kind of tired of it. As of now, I really don't have the money for Source, but if I can chash the check in my wallet I'm going to buy it.

To my problem: I can't think of any games worth buying. I'm set for FPS and MMORPGs. What I'm looking for is a good RPG (either singleplayer or mulitplayer). I've already got Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, so that's out of the question. Anyone know of any good, cheap RPGs? Also, what other FPS are worth buying besides Battlefield 2?

FPS = HL2 for sure (best game ever), fear, quake 4, doom 3, MOH series are good 2

RPG = not my cup of tea, but rome:total war, lord of the rings new one and star wars galaxies are supposed to be very good.

or check out EMPIRES (http://www.empiresmod.com/download.php) mod for HL2.

well judging by the billions and millions of posts on it here and the fact that I who generally don't like RPGs bought Oblivion, then I think that's a good bet. If you want something cheaper, when I was in Buffalo a couple of weeks ago I saw Morrowind and 3 expansion packs in one box set for $20.

FPS: besides ones menioned above...Call of Duty 2 (single player rules), I liked COD 1's multiplayer better. Battlefield 2 is a great FPS for online play.

RPG: I have played Fable, and I think it is a lot more fun than Oblivion so far. I haven't gotten very far in Oblivion, but seems pretty slow and redundant. I need to find more time to play it I guess.

I saw Psychonauts , which isn't an exactly what your looking for,
but I saw it for $14 at Best Buy the other day. If your looking to save some money I would download demos.

I didn't really care for HL2 and I am usually a big fan of the FPS. I mean, HL2 was an ok game, but its just I couldn't get the feel of it (Which is probably why I quit before I was able to finish it). I am not a real big fan of RPGs but I gave Oblivion a try and if you have they system to run it, go ahead, I'm loving it so far. BF2 is a very good FPS but after around 3 months of non-stop gaming on it, it was bound to be wore out. I still play BF2 to this date, but at a much slower rate. I managed to get a demo of Farcry and I loved every step of it except for the sound quality/ textures (Graphics). But then again.. that was the demo and they had to cut corners on it to make it more downloadable. If your into Diablo (Iv never personally played it) one of my friends recommends you try Dawn of War (I have never tried this one as well).
