"Dual 10/100/1000Mbps"
like i have a normal G router.. lets say i take 2 cat5e cables and connect them to it will i get double the speed?
no man, it's either for 2 connections or you could use your pc as a router if didn't have one...

so you mean that 2 connections = 2 diff lans?
also what would happen if from my 4 port router i wired the first and second port and plugged them into the mobo?

you would have 2 Simaltaneous 10/10/1000 connections, getting 2 diffrent ip address' from the DHCP, they are 2 Ethernet Controllers, usual a Marvell Controller and the NVIDIA one built into NF4. It won't combine the Connections nor give you extra bandwidth
I have a question though, could you say assign one to download a program or something, and have the other one for playing games? So i could download and play games, and not get any lag?
WheaT
even with 2 internet connections it's a tricky stuff...
you could team the connections but i found it doesn't give you any advantage over a single one as far as spreading the load.
Well if i could figure a way to do that i would love it. I guess that was my little internal hope when i bought the Mobo that i am going to use.
i gave up on that :P. the latency on one of my connections is better than the other one so it's preferable for gaming and i couldn't figure out a way to assign the connections to specific tasks... if you figure it out, let us know, that would be great.

it does nothing, your lan connection is way faster than your internet connection, and probabbly faster than your harddrive too...
