One of my friends suggested I install DIMES, so I thought, hey this could be cool. I downloaded it, uncompressed it, and configured it. I thought I was ready to go. Then when I go to run agent.sh, I keep getting an error. This is the error:

Verifying JAVA_HOME... [FAILED]
Error: JAVA_HOME Enviroment variable is not defined. Please install JDK or define it manually.

I am using Ubuntu 5.10 at the present time, so if anyone familiar with DIMES on Ubuntu could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I was having the exact same problem. I read a bunch of threads telling me how to fix it, but none of them worked. I finally found this one that solved the problem.

Also, when you try to type your info in, it isn't going to look like you're typing anything, but apparently there's something wrong with the text boxes so they just stay black but just type normally and it will go in.
