Ok, so heres my problem. I get the same thing whether im installing windows xp64 or xp w/ sp2. I made a bootable floppy driver with the correct drivers for each operating system. When the windows setup is initializing i press the f6 button to install the required drivers, using the appropriate disk. I select both drivers within the folder, which is following the online faq, and MB manual directions. I can see the partition and do what i want with it at that point. The problem is, the directions tell you to keep hitting OK when they ask about the raid and whatnot until your out of the blue installation screen and into the GUI screen. Well towards the end of the blue installation screen i get a message that pops up and asks me to insert the NVIDIA Raid Driver (SCSI) disk into my a: drive and press enter. I keep my disk installed and press enter yet nothing happens. I can press it all day and it doesnt leave that screen. In the directions it does not mention a different disk that i need. And in that window my only other option is to hit f3 to exit.
What i am wondering from you other asus a8n board owners that have this nvraid on thier board, and are running sli, is how did you do it? Maybe im using the wrong disk utility on my chipset cd-rom to make my floppy disk. I dont know. ALl i know is this is getting super frustrating, and im about to just say forget it to my two raptors i have waiting to be raided.
PS. I am using a USB floppy drive.
