Just wondering if there is any great significance between a Pentium M 760, 770, 780. The 780 is like 500 dollars more and the 770 is 200 dollars more than the 760. When i get a job going i wanna get a laptop that i can game on and stuff but. Thanks for any advice.

The only difference is the speed. Those are Pentium M processor you listed. They are older then current core Duo's, which are dual core. Also merom is suppose to come out Q4 is to replace the core Duo's. If you can afford >1K for a laptop, which it seems like you can I would definitely look towards the core Duo's.
i'm sure there are intel laptops with clock generators that clockgen supports, meaning you can overclock them from within windows.
i'd post in the laptop forum asking for anyone who's found a clockgen-compatible pentium-m laptop. there is a hardware modification you can do to some laptops to increase the cpu speed by 33% (400mhz bus -> 533mhz bus), but it involves disassembly and wire-modding the cpu socket.
good luck!

IMO you should get a laptop w/ core duo dual core processor these things are smoking hot especially when Conroe hits.
