do you guys think the cpu test in sandra is a big indicator of how well you can crunch? to me it seems to make a diffence, and if so, how about posting your scores. i really want to see what the xp's are getting.

i get:

drystone:4415
whetstone:2178

Synthetic benchmarks (like SiSoft Sandra) gives you a rough idea of how much FPU you can handle in ideal environments. You'll need just to factor the inneficiencies you have normally. For example, try to run Sandra in the same environment that when you normally leave your computer. Then relate it to your WU times. Move your settings, and repeat. That way you'll have a more clearer idea of which WU times you'll get with any readings that Sandra gives you.

Sandra is great, in giving baseline info, when you are tweaking your system. The 2 things to really watch, to check tweaking, is your FPU and mem scores. As your FPU and mem scores go up, your WU times should go down. Mictlan is right in that you have to do your benching in the same environment as your PC is in normal state, without Seti running.

that is how i benched it, so i could have an accurate representation. when i upgraded to the 8kha+ and upped the bus, my times have gone down to high 3s or low 4s. i did a really low angle wu in 4.2hrs, which is great....to me.

Your times look good. I am doing 4.1hrs - 4.3hrs on my KG7 rig, for ave (.4xx) AR's.

the low angle wu i was talking about was a .04, which is pretty low, so 4.2hrs for that is not too bad...

No, not at all. Sounds like you have it tweaked pretty good. I only installed my KG7 2 weekends ago, and haven't had any time to tweak it.
