At work I just put together a server that is running red hat EL4, it has 2x 74Gb raptors in a raid 1 array, they are running on the onboard intel controller (ICH7, the MB being a Intel D945GNTL), if there were to be a failure how would I rebuild it? I dont recall seeing a option in the raid bios.

It will rebuild when it it enters windows, that's what my storage array did, please understand though that XP was not on that array. Othwerwise it would rebuild from within Intel Matrix Storage Utility, or before the XP Splash screen.
Yes, it rebuilds automatically as soon as it finds a new suitable drive connected to the ICH7R. It'll tell you in the BIOS screen when it's rebuilding, but you can still boot and use use your computer normally while it does its thing.
You'll see a little icon on your taskbar if you're in Windows. Just make sure you've installed the intel storage manager: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2101
If you just set up this computer and it doesn't have anyhting critical on it yet you might want to try unplugging a drive while its running to make sure it works the way you expect it to.
