View Full Version : Athlon 900 (died)
My friend has (had) an Athlon 900. Iwas doing the pencil trick to my CPU (Athlon 1Ghz). The pencil trick worked perfectly for me and i called my friend and told him the pencil trick and she tried the same trick. At default speed her Athlon 900 worked fine but after of raising the multiplier to 10 :mad: a died CPU (lots of smoke).
The local computer store changed the CPU. We told that the HSF went broke and its the HSF that burnt the CPU (nice lie). The store asked the shiping money 15bucks for sending the CPU back to AMD. After of that the CPU was changed and the HSF also were very happy about that.

After of reinstalling the CPU the PS didnt post. The MOBO and the videocard had also fried:mad:
