Well, Nvidia and ATI finally came out with some AGP upgrade options for those of us that are still in the dark ages and I have a few questions for you guys. The computer I'm running is in my sig and I'm wondering if I buy a 7800 GS, would I get a noticeable improvement in framerates and image quality. From the little research I've done, it seems that the 7800 GS isn't any faster than an X850 XT or 6800 Ultra. If this is the case, it doesn't seem worth the 300 dollars for the upgrade. I can't find anything on the ATI AGP card so I'm not sure what to do. I'm hoping some of you guys can give me some advice on the next gen AGP cards. I haven't ran an Nvidia card since my GE Force 4 4600 so I'm way out of the loop on information. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I upgraded from a 6600GT and I saw a big improvement, but you are right, it is not much better then 6800 ultra or 850xt. If you can find those for around 200 dollars I would get one of those unless you really want some of the new features it brings like HDR. The reason I bought the 7800 GS instead of the other cards was because I wanted to play oblivion with hdr/bloom and I couldnt find the agp cards mentioned above.
