broken peltier?

can these things be repaired? i didnt even think i could break one:) it pooped out on me last night some time. i woke and she was locked at the boot screen. and wouldnt you know it but when all hell breaks loose i had her crunching seti in a os that i dont have shut down now configured on. no harm done though. she fine just no overclocking or gaming allowed.
its not the power supply i hooked it up to two that i know work. i didnt work it too hard, its alway been at 12 volts. any sugestions before i order a new one?

unless a wire has come off there is very little you can do to 'fix' then, because ther isn't much to go wrong
