OK I HAVE A 800 athlon T and have clocked it to 1050 with multiplier and standard HSF and want to know what are the diffs between HSF's.

are they all the same sizes?

And if i get a HSF designed for a 1.5 GIG Athlon would that fit and would it provide excellent cooling for overclocking.

OR are the HSF designed especially for certain speeds?

Thats my thought....i mean if i get a HSF that could take a faster CPU wouldnt it bring the temps down by like 10 celcius on a o/c 800@ 1.1gig????

A bigger heatsink is a bigger heatsink, they're deisgned for any chip they'll fit, not specific speeds, the rating is the maximum. Using it on a lower rated part will just give better cooling as you guessed.

size is not all, also what the heatsink is made of and how it is made helps, for example a heatsink made from one peice of metal is good so are copper ones
