Newegg has a Patriot 1GB DC kit for $85.99 - $22.00 rebate = $63.99. The timings listed are 2-3-2-5 1T at 2.6v. I ordered one and got it today and peeled off the heatspreaders to find week 0531 TCCD chips :-D. Your mileage may vary though. Some users on newegg report great overclocking while others say there is little to no overclocking (probably sticks without TCCD).

Rebate ends 4/17/06.

I took off the heatspreader and the chips said Samsung XXXXXXXXXTCCD 0531. Yah...its TCCD ;) . Your results may vary...im sure not all of the chips are TCCD.

On another note hopefully Patriot did a better job at programming the SPD's on other kits because in the kit I got, one SPD was 2-3-2-5 and the other was 3-3-3-8. They would not boot together because of this and I had to reprogram the SPD on one stick...im sure this doesnt happen often though. *shrugs*.

The reason being is that TCCD doesn't generally like low latencies. Just because a stick wont run 2-2-2-5 doesn't mean it wont clock well with higher latencies. Just a theory...but I think a lot of the LLK sticks are intended XBLK sticks that didn't pass at 2-2-2-5.

I'm running DDR550 right now at 2.5-3-3-6. 5 hours memtest stable (all tests conducted) and 30min prime stable so far.

DDR550 right now at 2.5-3-3-6? Any way you slice it, that's not too shabby for a $65 gig of ram. Good buy.

Almost at DDR600 2.5-3-3-6. Only 4 errors per 4 passes of memtest test #5. That's down from 300+ errors per run before tweaking. I still have a lot of different settings to try. I'm not sure if it would be better to take the heatspreaders off or to leave them on. They seemed to make fairly good contact, but I'll have to run some tests to see the differences. That will be the last thing I try though because they're a pain in the @$$ to take off (thermal tape is very sticky) and I have a 80mm fan blowing on the modules...they arent too hot.

Yea this was a good buy...my only complaint is about the SPD's being programmed incorrectly.
