My Stock 7800gt fan is producing more noise than everything else in my system. I want to get something for it so that it is near silent.
Anyway I am basically looking for the best cooler to operate at the lowest sound level. Keeping SLI an Option would be nice but is not nessesary.

The best coolers I have found so far are these
The Arctic Cooling Accelero X1 = $40

or

The Evercool Turbo 2 = $17

Also here is a review of the Turbo 2

or

The Artic Cooling NV Silencer 5 rev. 3 = $30

I have heard a lot of bad things about the NV Silencer recently, like they have very warped bases, and are not making good contact. Also they seem to be priced higher than other cooling solutions.

NV silencer will yield far better results and its as the name implies, near silent :)

Sorry, I don't know anything about the first two. That third link on the AC Silencer does not say anything about it fitting a 7800GT unless I missed it. BTW, my GPU fan is noisy when my system is booting, but then the fan speed goes way down to quiet levels when Windows loads. Does yours do that?

I wouldn't go with the NV Silencer 5 if you want a darn quiet cooler for your video card. I used it for about 5 minutes and couldn't stand the "quiet leaf blower" sound it gave out. That and my temps sky-rocketed! I'd recomend the Zalman VF700-CU, I use it on both of my 7800GTs. I would recomend the VF900 as it sounds like it's doing pretty well, but I haven't used it yet, so I'll leave that for someone else.
