nVidia GeForce 7800gtx

I've been looking into some new graphics cards and so far im thinking about going with the Pny GeForce 7800gtx. some people have been telling me that its a waste of money. does anyone have any recommendations on this?

go with the 7900gt. its cheaper and performs better. your only problem is finding one.

yeah... i was looking into that. new egg is completely out of stock on that.

i have this problem with patients... especially with oblivion being released. ive pretty much got a whole new system planned out and ive got the money... waiting is the hard part.

thanks alot man... ill look into that. although i dont think im gunna get a 7900gtx... probably between the 7900gt or the 7800gtx

I just bought a 7900GT CO @ newegg about 2 hours ago. You just have to keep checking in and looking.

I would personally recommend a 7900GT over the 7800GTX. It's got a smaller core (less heat) and is hitting higher clockspeeds than the 7800GTX. . . And it can be found for even less than the 7800GTX as was mentioned. . . .

I would have gone for a 7900GT myself but they weren't out yet when I picked up this card.

yeah i me too. i was going to go for either the 7800GTX or the 7900GT. does the 7900GT perform much better than the 7800GTX? could anyone recommend good graphic card brands for the 7900GT and 7800GTX GPU's, i want to check up on the prices of these brands. im planning to overclock the card if i do get one
