i have a habit of putting MBM5's shortcut in the startup menu.. but once i upgraded to windows XP it gives me an error saying it can't find one essential file of the program..
but when i press start and runs MBM5 it runs normal..
has anybody encountered this problem ?
is there any other temperature reader that is accurate and easy to use ?
thanks
Try downloading and reinstalling they have a new update that fixes some problems with 5.1.

that's what i'm thinking now..........will replace with SOMETHING short but SPECIAL.......take LESS space than you ever think.
check my sig later on....
May think that your download file has been corrupted and that you need to redownload and reinstall.

One problem is that you UPGRADED to XP. Always do a clean install with a new os.

MBM5 works fine for me in WinXP.
I had it in Win98SE, then I upgraded (As opposed to a clean install), and it still worked. Then I got a new HDD, formatted it, and installed WinXP fresh, and installed MBM5, and it still worked fine.
I dunno why it wouldn't work for you, but like the others have said, try downloading it again and ireinstalling it over your previous installation.

my solution was to install the newest version of MBM5 bcause when i install it, it also installed the Give IO function thing
