Finally got to upgrade my system today new MoBo and DDR. After a few problems with the machine displaying corrupted results (Had to delete WU). It's now running sweetly my average WU time is an hour faster for a 47MHz CPU speed increase.
Can't wait for a high Angle work unit and break the 5Hr barrier. This DDR memory is a real boost for Seti. Just wait 'till I get my hands on an XP;)
An XP would be an even bigger boost. Congrats on your upgrade.

Nice upgrade. Right now I am pintching pennies...literally to upgrade my P120 with a 200MMX Chip. I also want to take out the 256kb L2 burst cache and put in a 512kb chip. I love what DDR does, but I am in Intel guy so I don't get to use it often, only when I build computers for other people. Hope you break that barrier.
Congrats on the new hardware, 13oots2!
Hopefully I willl be back crunching soon too. I'm looking forward to buy my new system on the netherlands' biggest computer market within 2 weeks. Right now I've just got 2 rig's crunching, so my weekly WU score isn't very high.
Right now you should be crunching faster than me... :)

I live in the Uk so prices are a little higher than in the States. The board and RAM cost £150, a small price to pay to go from just under 4WU's per day to 4.5. With time for a bit of work and games. The cheapest that I've seen my MoBo on the other side of the "Pond" is $138, so between $180 and $200.
Glad to hear the new hardware is working out. Congragulations!
