Hey guys gotta a problem that i cant seem to solve.. the thing is that when i turn on the computer and go into the BIOS ... i can see the WD 320 gb H.D. (SATA slot 1) then when it goes through the POST it goes through "Setup is inspecting your computers hardware" btw.. i cant press F6 (i cant i wont let me) then it goes through the whole thing... then while doing all the thing on the bottom, a sceen comes up and says

"setup could not determine the type of one or more mass storage devices installed in your system, or you have chosen to maually specify an adapter. Currently setup will load supprt for the following mass storage devices(s)"

"<none>"

"* To specify additional SCSI adapters, CD-ROM drivers or special controllers for use with Windows, including those for which you have a device support disk from a mass storage device manufacturer, press S"

"* If you do not have any device support disks froma mass storage device manufacturer, or do not want to specify additional mass storage devices for use with Windows press ENTER"

---- so then i press S ----

"please insert the disk labeled Manufacturer-supplied hardware support disk"
"* Press enter when ready"

---- so i press enter ----

"you have choosen to configure a SCSI adapter for use with Windows, using a device support disk provided by an adapter manufacturer

Select the SCSI Adapter you want from the following list, or press ESC to return to the previous screen"

---- then i am allowed to choose ----

"NVIDIA RAID CLASS DRIVER (required)"
"NVIDIA NForce Storage Controller (required)"
"SiI 3114 SoftRAID 5 Controller for Windows XP/Server 2003"
"SiI 3114 SoftRAID 5 Controller for Windows 2000"

guys i dont know what to do now... please help ... also remember that i cant press F6 when windows installs... i dont know why

btw... thanks for reading

since it works now you should just leave it

there is no performance difference, so why bother?

Yeah, your hard drive will never use really anywhere near the bandwidth of either of the two. It's a fact of life.

Not true. The sata2 interface allows for faster burst speeds... this has been proven with the maxtor maxlines. :) Silicon image raid controller which is sata150 allowed burst of around 100mb/s.... where as the nvidia sata2 3gb/s allowed for burst speeds of 200+ MB/s
