I have a full tower case which I've filled up to capacity with:

Floppy drive
Zip drive
CD-RW
CD-ROM
Digital Doc 5
Soundblaster Live Drive

Now I don't have any bays left. But, I want to install other things, such as lights, rheostats, .... You get my drift.

So, here is the question. Where can I get a case with more than 6 bays, prefereably 8 or 9, that won't cost more than $150 (without ps)?

Appreciate any suggestions.

hmmm, dunno if you can still get em. but i got my enlight full tower case for 99 bucks i believe.

it has (external) 2x 3.5, and five 5.25 (actually 7, but the last two are where internally mounted hard drives go, so you cant use them)

man, the new ones are 10 bucks over your limit. the en-8950 has 1x 3.5 and 9x 5.25. man, makin me drool. $160 at mwave.com

mwave also has a SUPERMICRO CSE-017 750A that has 1x 3.5 and 6x 5.25 for 135 bucks (altho that one includes PSU).

The biggest case I've seen is the Supercase, see this (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37524) thread. It has like 6 bays, pretty huge...you might want to just get rid of your Zip drive or something, though, "hehe, it would be cheaper, I think!"(Watto) ;)

WOW....that Supercase has me salivating....gotta have :D

AND it will fit the zip drive too. Unfortunately, I really need it since at work we transfer large files back and forth and everyone has zip on their puters.

Search engines ahoy..... gonna look for that Supercase.

Thanks guys.

I'll add a reply to that thread and this one with a link for where the Supercase is sold.

And it's well within your limit. I got mine for $40 without a PSU.

Here's what the stock Supercase looks like. (http://www.servercase.com/ImageFiles/SC01F.html)

Go here if you actually want to order it. (http://www.servercase.com/PCcases.html)

USE the 3.5incher for your rheostat or take out the zip. my 1240 has 6 external 5.5 inchers.

Or you could do like i did and build your baybus below the 3.5" bays. I just drilled the holes in the front of the case.

I think that is what I'll do for now until I can convince the wife that we need a bigger case ;)

Been spending some time looking for large cases and have come across some really huge ones that have 17 or so bays. Unfortunately they cost over $200, but lotsa room and they are double wide, so I won't need 50 feet of cable for my floppy :D They also have lotsa places for fans. Christmas is around the corner and I think I know what will by on my list.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
