I just got home from my week-long trip to find that all 17 WUs I had cached Monday morning were completed and waiting for me to transmit. I checked out the Spy log and I found the average for these was about 6.1 hrs. MUCH better than the GUI. Even had a couple of units drop just under 6. I love the CLC! :D
Yep, the clc is the way to go for pure speed! I just got my new dual duron 1.1 workstation at my work going late today and I'm running 2 setii on it to help burn it in this weekend. We just built a dual 1.0 duron for the other grunt in our IT and he is getting right at 6:08 per, so I am hoping for about 5.50 or something. :)
I should also have another bp6/550 going by sometime next week. :p

I'm new to SETI@home...what's CLC? I'm at about 5 1/2 hours a WU I think, and I'd like to go faster.
It is the "command line client" version of SETI. It does not have the pretty graphics and is not a screen saver but it crunches much faster. :)

the funny thing about the clc is, once you get it you get frustrated because you did not use it the whole time, but you are also happy because it is so much faster.
