What is the best CPU (I mean Duron) I can get on the internet that will overclock well? I need the site to make deliveries to Israel, I would be glad to hear about the prices as well. I love my A7V-133 mobo. though its max. Vcore is 1.85 its has a fail safe feature that u won't have to reset CMOS after unsuccesfull overclock. I want to buy this mobo & Duron CPU (wich will be best O/C <-> price ratio) & if possible to get another PC-133 128MB RAM stick all this for about 160$US... Is it possible or am I dreaming? I could give up the RAM though...

Please help. Thx ahead.

As far as which duron if you're not looking for the fastest duron then I'd go with the 750 duron. As far as a cheap mb I'd go with the shuttle ak31 ver2 and you can get ddr RAM. Sorry but I don't know a vendor that ships to Israel.

How much would this chip cost anyway? I want to use SDRAM mem and stay under the 160$.

I just gave away the best overclocking chip ive ever had to my grandma.... :( lol I got a Duron 800mhz chip... and was building my grandma her computer and I decided to have a little fun and bump up the FSB... i got 133FSB no problem leaving the chip at 1066mhz. I had no problems at default voltage! After more playing with it I got it up to 1166 at 1.8 voltage...
keep in mind that it only had a stock heatsink on it! wow, i was amazed... 2 hours later I clocked it back down to 800 and gave it away :( Sadly thiking to myself.... What a waste of processor...

how much would it cost to ship a duron to Europe? I would sell you mine it does 1001mhz maybe higher but won't pass prime at this speed.

I'm sorry... but I really dunno... I was hoping to get a new one anyway. I thought that my mobo would cost a lots more than in US but I just got the current pricings, and they're as follows:
ASUS A7V-133: $105
Duron 750: 77$
Duron 800: 84$
Duron 850: 91$
Duron 900: 100$
Noname 256MB PC-133 SDRAM: 23$
I think If I'll finally decide on going for it, I'll buy it here in IL cause will have closer warranty and I get a CPU fan w/ the Duron...

http://www.overclockers.co.uk ship to any where and as they are a Europe based company the shipping would not be to pricey?

kieran_d>> Thx for the link, I looked at the prices and they are just too much for me, I can get all things I need for less here.

I and a few other have Used the ECS K7S5A and 750 and 800 durons to achieve over1gig after unlocking the voltage on the chip. This board is a great buy because it uses both sdram and DDR, has onboard LAN, and is less than $60 bucks on newegg.com with a 800 Duron about $40 and order your 256DDR memory directly from crucial.com for $30+no shipping. Total=$130

Cheers
