Program to record live streams

I have a friend, and he wants to record some live radio streams on his PC so he can listen to them later.

Which program can he use? Maybe one that you can setto record one station @ x time...

Well pretty much a program that can record what's going out of the video card.

I use VLC to capture TV stream from my STB, so your friend could probably use it too only he would just capture audio.
