I am in the market for a new surround sound system to go with my new HDTV. I am looking for something in the ~600-$800 range for use with my TV and 360.
i am looking at this one right now: http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/%20INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=DAVFX80%2fKIT&Dept=tvvideo&CategoryName=hav_HomeTheater_DVDDreamSystems

any advice?

Don't get a system. You can get better parts if you buy the stuff seperately.

i agree, also don't get sony, they don't make good stuff for the price, their high end gear is good but way overpriced, you can get better stuff for those prices

how good are polk audio subs? i thought with subs you had to go with a few select brands like velodyne, m&k, or dayton for truly good bass
