I get a slip in my mail cube today saying a package is waiting for me at my local post office. My knee is killing me so I hobble through the pain down there and apparently they had decided to put my info on a notice slip because a package is waiting for someone else with a completely different name who lives in a completely different unit in my building! I asked them to check if they have something for me too as I am waiting for a package and they say they don't. I give them my number so they can call me when my package arrives and then I hobble back home. Five minutes after getting in they call me "You do have a package waiting for you, we just didn't realize it before."     So once I've rested, back I go.

At least you got it. Normally when that happens, they'll toss it in the dumpster or keep it for themselves rather than admit a mistake. LOL!

I once got that notification slip saying my package was ready to be picked up. Off I go to the post office and when I get there, they say come back on monday and we'll have it then. I then why the hell do they put this notification slip if they don't have my product and they didn't have an answer.

Yeah they never have that answer for me either. I also love when I pop by at 6PM just because it's right next to the grocery store, just to see if my package is waiting there and they say it's not, then when I get home I find a slip in my mailbox telling me I can pick up my package any time after 5:30 today.

I hate waiting all day for a package only to receive a piece of paper because the idiot driver doesn't like to bring packages to apartments.
The post office isnt that far from here but for some reason I seem to do all my ordering to coincide with nasty weather.

In my area at least the letter carriers and package delivery are sometimes different people, and the package delivery is contracted out, not really Canada Post employees. It makes it really hard to make a complaint.

I am lucky. I live close to Billings Bridge (a close outlet) and the delivery guy knowsm y brother and I by name. This is due to ebay of course.

But in general, the staff are nitwits. But not as bad as Purolator.

I've actually never had a problem with them so far. When ever I get the notice, It always says that the package will be at the pick-up point by 1:00 PM next day. So far, *knocks on wood* it's always been there.

I've never had a problem with that aspect either. Its the times where I've tracked a package and gone down to pick it up at the post office, then recieved the notice that someone had attempted to deliver it 2 days later.
Yes, at least I got my package quickly, but now I had a new slip and had to go back to the PO to figure out if there actually was another package.

Whats a mail cube? Like a mail box? Even tho I live in the US I dont like Canada post, a forum member tried sending me a money order and it took over 2 weeks to get here. If you want to send it fast the prices are WAYYYY higher then USPS prices.

I live in appartment building, so everyone in the building has a small, locked cube that the postal carrier put letters in for us. but when something is too big to fit they are supposed to leave a slip saying when and where we can go and pick the package up.

Or, if you specifically request the shipper to ad "OK to drop at rental office" (and your office agrees) you can get your package much faster.
