ive just been watching the footage (actual ingame) of bf2 on the 360, and i must say. it makes the pc version look like......****. the physics look better, look like the weapons are more realistic(damage amounts etc). it still has that stupid hot swap thing, where you can jump across the map to another player and the console takes over the 1 you were in, shabby. lol. lets hope that 2142 is gonna be nice :)

It looks nice, but it got pretty bad reviews. You can download the demo on Xbox Live though I think. :)

The gameplay looked gimp but it did have a better look to it than it does on my xtx, the models look considerably more complex, and some of the lighting and effects look completely different although I imagine the maps are considerably smaller

Here we go. Average of all sites is 77%. http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/926055.asp

From reading the reviews, it seems to focus more on small battles than anything. 24 max players and the reviews are saying that the maps are very cramped. Still good visuals though. :)

Well, also it did come out a while after BF2 did. I hope they up the textures/poly-count, etc. in the new one :D

I would still rather play the PC version due to the greater # of players and the trusty KB and mouse

2142 looks to be pretty good. I think all they did though was tidy up the graphics, physics and overall engine tweaks. Looks like a prettied up stand alone expansion.

Screen shots look great though but I'm not holding my breath. Dice hasn't let me down in the past.

The game I'm REALLY interested to see is Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. That game is looking MIGHTY fine!

Regardless of what they call it, I hope they tidy up the code so u dont need a crazy amount of ram just to play the freakin games :(. Upgraded to a 6800U and 2gb of ram just for BF2.

really? It ran great on my sytem with a gig of ram and when I added another 512 in there it shortened loading time a little bit but that's it.

I think a gig is the standard amount to play pretty much any game these days. My brother's 939 system has a gig of the same ocz ram I've got and he doesn't have any issues with any games. FEAR, oblivion, BF2, Quake4, etc. All the newest games run great.

I think all the tests I've seen show a marginal improvement with 1.5 gigs and virtually no improvement with 2 gigs.

I played the demo. In certain respects, it looks a lot nicer. There's a lot higher LOD on the characters and vehicles. The explosions are amazing. The controls are better than I was expecting. However, it's not a great game imo. As bored as I am with BF2 PC, it's still more fun than this. While I don't mind playing with less people on smaller maps, it just doesn't capture the feel of large scale battles. That's the only reason I liked BF2 in the first place.

Oh and vehicle whoring is STILL a problem(and apparently the game doesn't autokick for excessive TKs).
