Hey guys,

I've got a IBM Thinkpad R51 that was issued to me through the university im attending. Every year the university gets new models in to replace the 2 year old models, and what they do with the two year old models is sell them to the students. This particular laptop is at its 2 year mark and the university is trying to sell it to me. The price tag isnt hefty(granted i've been paying for it through my tution already), and since I'll be issued one of the new models next year if i do buy this one-- The only reason i'd buy this one is to sell it. I was wondering if you could help me get an estimate on its value. I've tried searching ebay for a similar model, but the closest I could find was a 1.6PM/256mb ram/40HD for a little over 600$.

Specs:

1.3ghz Celeron M
512 megs of ram, 8 of it going to the onboard graphics (intel extreme 2)
40 gig HD
14.1 display (1024x 800)
wireless internet (a/b)
CD Burner/DVD rom combo drive
Windows XP Pro sp2 (comes with "reimagining" disk{disk includes office and AV})
Microsoft Office 2003 (access, excel, frontpage, powerpoint, word)
Symantec Anti-Virus Corp Edition (very lite version)

Thanks ahead of time.

You didn't say the price of the R51. Well if you don't play games slapping in a Pentium M will make it a nice work horse.

This all assuming the price is low enough.
