Today I was in the Win2K task manager and happened to check the priority of FAH.
It was NORMAL ???
I just last night upgraded all my machines to v2.12 so maybe that version installs itself at Normal.
Anyone else notice this or can you verify my results ?
Mine is at normal too. Should I change it to low? I just got a new core last night and I can not remember what is was at before.

I changed mine to low. That is what it always has been before. The idea is to only use unused cycles. Not to take or share cycles with other apps.
Granted, I have some dedicated folding machines and I do not really care what the priority is, but people running it on their gaming rig might.
Maybe this is an oversight on Stanford's part ?

Core_65.exe has 3 sub-processes. 2 are normal priority, but they are NOT the ones that do the work. The one that does the work is idle priority. This is why the Core_65.exe process appears as normal priority, because the highest priority of a child process is the priority it appears as in the Win2K task manager. You can verify everything I'm telling you with a program called ATM - not sure where I got it but it's a Task Manager-like 3rd party app for Win98/ME.

Sickboy is right. The process of the core_65 that does all of the work is set to idle. ATM is pretty cool for that sort of thing. :)
