I'm having PROBLEMS!

Ok. See the specs below, and this is my problem. (Not OC'd)

I recently updated my BIOS and have been having problems Overclocking. My computers runs at 8.5x fine, but when I change it to 9.0x my computer won't start no matter what the FSB is.

I redid my pencil markings, reapplied Arctic Silver II (New Heatsink fan)

I updated to the most current BIOS today. Couldn't OC before or After.

And I can't overclock it NOW!

Suggestions?

Actually 9.5x works. 9 doesn't. 10x works.

I have heard of people not being able to get some mults when their pencil/ink marks were not real strong: try redoing them, or use a stronger conductor, I use the defogger repair kit myself.

Did 9 work before you updated the bios?
If it did try clearing the cmos,if thats no help flash back to the previous bios and see if 9 works again.

Yeah, the first time I used a mechanical pencil and all multipliers worked. When I used some cheapie not all of them worked. It took me amonth to find this out =)

I have never been able to get anything over 8.5 with my 1.0 Ghz. I have the same cpu and mobo as you.

Btw, what stepping is that cpu?

Make sure you unlock it correctly. I should have it done tomorrow.
There's also a new BIOS out. Try that too

I used The Defogger Kit.

I used a pin to apply on bridges (I didn't have a small enough screwdriver)

IT WORKS! w00t! Thanks to all that helped =)

I now get all the multipliers. 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5.. etc ...15x!

Runs between 40*C and 45*C (Depending if I have my window open or not.
