Evening, I just run 3dMark on my ATi Radeon 9600XT and only got 4473. Is this about right for this card as some of the scenes seemed to run quite slow. :welcome: :bang head :eh?: :argue:

It's obvious, the card is set @ 100/300. Stock speed should be 500/300. So you are getting 1/5 of the performance. BTW, why name the OC profile ¨lol¨?
Anyway, edit the title of the thread, it should be ¨3dmark 2001 scores¨.

I assume the card has 2D and 3D clocks and thats its 2D clocks showing. The profile is actually sposed to be 101 i.e. the speed the core is at. Also Dan please actually respond to my question rather than pointing out variances. Looking at your sig I can almost see everything is set to the wrong speeds.
thanks

Really? Kind of hard to strike l-o-l instead of 1-0-1 (you know, the keys are quite apart from each other)
Anyway, AFAIK, the speeds for the 9600xt don't vary in 2D and 3D (owned one myself). I'm sure that profile was set on purpose.

I answered your question. The core is running @ 100mhz, but it should be running @ 500 mhz. That means 1/5 of GPU performance, which of course affects the score. Get the core back to it's original speed, and you should get the appropriate scores.
Remember to edit the title.
I OC my hardware to get extra performance. You're underclocking, hence the crappy scores.

So are you saying I should try to overclock this all the way to 500mhz on the core? It seems quite a step up from default speeds.

500Mhz is the default speed. No trouble doing that. Have you owned a 9550 recently?

sorry, but I got a kick out of this one :) Better break out the PDP-10 to go with that 100 MHz 9xxx http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDP-10
