Anyone has heard/experience with the Akasa PSU here (http://www.overcool.com/Exec/product.asp?userid=82421226590261&item_id=31710) ?

It has pretty good reviews from here (http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=1359&page=20).

Looks pretty comparable to the Fortron 700W.

Any ideas/suggestion? I might pick one up to replace my 500w bluestorm.

Same unit as the Silverstone Zeus ST65ZF. These are not quiet PSU's though quite powerful. Unlike the Fortrons which put each PCI-E on a different 12v rail, these have the PCI-E connectors sharing 12v3... I do not recommend them for Crossfire on 1900's.

Silverstone have changed the 12v loadings see Silverstone Q&A (http://www.silverstonetek.com/Q&A%20POWER.htm) whether akasa have i can't say.

But i'd agree with wolf re crossfire & noisei think there are better out there, the fsp 700/600 are good, or the silverstine strider Akasa 600 if you want quiet, with a little less power.
