not quite sure what you mean. if you only have bf2 installed then u only get 1 unlock for each rank up, but if you have SF installed aswell, you get 2 unlocks. also, when u install SF and play for the first time, you get to choose an unlock. is that what you mean?

wait so is it impossible by playing only bf2 (and no Sp) that i can get the third unlock for the weapons?

No you can get it regardless of BF2 or SF. You just have to get a certain amount of points.

what he hell are you ona bout??

for normal bf2, there is only one unlock per class. you only get unloacks when u go up a rank ( i doubt u'd go up a rank after 10 mins if play tho...)

I don't think there is no "third" unlock for a class, but yes, you can get 2 unlocks per rank up if you have someone play on your account for 10-15 minutes with SF. It worked for me :)

Well when the 1st patch was released I went up two ranks in 10 minutes.

It was awesome.

Wouldnt this only count for the first unlock when playing SF? I find it hard to believe that just haviong some random person log into your a ccount with SF for 10 mintues will continue to get you the benefits of the SF pack w/o actually owning it.

If so.. thats total BS

How is that total bs, you shouldn't have to pay 30.00 to be on a level playing ground in Battlefield 2 classic, it is kind of messed up EA even did that to begin with. If you want to enjoy the benefits of special forces play a special forces server :shrug::shrug:

True, I never bought SF, I thought it was sort of a rip off. I think it was crap that they release an expans. pack when we where stuck with little problems and bugs.

they would have had alot better customer satisfaction if they gave it away for free considerign all the probs that the OG players had since the begining.

I still will not buy SF until it goes down in price to 10 dollars.

Well those are the only benefits that you get. you don't get to use the grapping hook, the new maps, etc.

Yes.. we paid for the SF pack for maps and new weapons...
The fact that ppl that didnt buy the pack can get all the benefits of the new weapons is what sucks.. and is total BS

I can write it in crayon if it needs to be explained more

Well to answer your original question, you still have the option to play as special forces in the plain BF2, just like you can play as assault, medic and sniper.
