Cant be much more precise other than im running WinXP, so 2K drivers might be ok. The only drivers ive found are the v2-w2k-1.02.00-beta.exe drivers. Im specifically after direct x drivers. Also any Voodoo1 drivers?

No, but the Win2000 VooDoo2 drivers will work just fine in XP.

Uhh......how do you mean THE win2k drivers? The latest I have is from their site and dates from 5 days after the folding of 3dfx. I am fully aware of the simularity of drivers between the different releases of NT5 (2k & XP) but lost the thread that lead to the alt voodoo driver forum.

no good man, it seems as if there ISNT actually a D3D driver for 2k\XP yet.........and doesnt appear to be one on the horizon for the voodoo2. Anyone have any driver links because im getting pretty desperate.

No good, just the same old drivers repackaged. The final release 2k drivers didnt allow you to use the pass through cable: the V2 had to operate as the primary 2d card as well(640x480) so they are crud.

If you goto Diamondmm.com and download the drivers for the "Diamond Monster 3D II" you'll be able to use SLI and Direct3D with 99% of the voodoo 2 cards available.

Lol, I had a Diamond Monster 2. Cost me 250 bucks back in the day. Rofl, for a 3d only solution, it makes newer high end cards look like a bargain :D But hey, that v2 was WICKED, interstate76 ran smoother than silk on my 233 :D I remember the first time I saw true 3d-rendered graphics on my 233, that orange Picard Pirana fully rendered in Glide was gorgeous.

This may sound dumb what I'm gonna say but....

Honestly, you could replace that Voodoo2 graphics card with a 32MB PCI TNT2 Graphics card for like $25. The TNT2 will double your FPS in your system over that Voodoo2 and you can use 32-bit color :)

Actually, only two voodoo2s can be linked together MAX. Its called SLI which means half the screen is rendered with the first voodoo2 and the second half with the second voodoo2.

Only the Quantum3D Obsidian X-24 Pro can allow 4 voodoo2 cards SLIed together. In this case, the first card which has two voodoo2 chips on it renders the first half while the second card renders the second half!

The TNT2 is still faster than two voodoo2s chained together hands down!
