I just got this game last week, and so far, has been one of the best games out this year for the PC. Yeah its the same game that was on the Xbox 360, but this game just plain rocks. Excellent story, realy good twist on combat, and uses the FEAR engine.

Here is a screenie of mine.

So have any you guys played this on the PC? Or even the 360? What do you guys think?

I played it on the 360 for a few hours at work. It was alright, but would be alot better with the mouse keyboard combo.

I will have to pick this up.

I have it for the 360 and think its a great game. First person-survival horror.

I have it for the PC and I can only play it for short stints at a time. Not because it's scary, but because it is SO FRUSTRATING how slow the guy runs. I find myself quicksaving every couple of seconds because, should I die, I REALLY don't want to have to walk a long way to get back to where I was.

It has a relatively good atmosphere, some pretty scary bits and it does feel rather desolate. However, it isn't great just facing so many of the exact same enemy in places - there needs to be a bit more variety in some of the levels. The combat is a great idea, but it can also get annoying how you have to perfectly time your blocks - that said I might only be finding that annoying having just come from Oblivion where you can hold it down!

They say you can use anything as a weapon, but that is total BS. There are a select core of weapons and they are just very abundant. I often find little piles of them leant up against a wall containing 2 of the 2x4 weapons and what looks like a long pipe - it is annoying that you can use the planks but not that pipe even though it is just sat there...

I am prob going to look for this game today at walmart.

This game reminds me so much of the old school Neo Geo game Super Spy.

BTW those are pretty beefy specs for the everyday user.

I am too, but I am much more into the alternate type games, ones that take a large step away from regular FPS style of play.

It for sure is t3h w1n. I haven't been playing it much but I just got done riding the back of the subway train. LOOOVED IT!

Although the game reminds me so much of F.E.A.R. that I'm really tempted to play F.E.A.R. through again before I finish Condemned. lol

Yeah, I just finished the game today, kinda short, but was a thrill the whole way, realy awsome story, and definatly an interesting end. I realy wonder if there is gonna be another one?

It must be a lot better than the demo was. I played the 360 demo and thought it was a gimmicky mix of CSI type stuff that wasn't even intergrated very well and doom (but taking place in an old building).

I dunno, I can't get into F.E.A.R. or Condemned. It feels to fake.. I know that might sound stupid considering its a video game, but other games like BF2 and CoD2 intrigue me more.

Yeah its pretty and shiny but it feels kinda lame.

Yeah, I thought so too, but throughout the game, it actualy works out great, there are sometimes where you are trying to track down evidence, and you end up getting jumped from a blindspot, making for some frentic moments. Also the CSI stuff realy helps the story along. I didnt find it to be too cheasy, just enough to keep it alright, but enough to drive the story.

For the 360 users this is a rental. It's short and sweet, it took me about 10-12 hours or so to beat it but I thoroughly enjoyed the game.
