Typically the fsb is manipulated via the motherboard. WHat motherboard do you have?

Not all Athlons have a 266 fsb...some have a 200 fsb. Depends on whether it's got a B or a C.

no i understand after reading a website somewhere from europe
that some-one completely unlocked a t-bird at the fsb to the area
of 520 mhz if i remember correctly.
but i do not remember the website.

I have an A7a266 ASUS. do I just set it to Jumper Free mode?
Will that allow me to jump the FSB? And, I penciled in the bridges and I still cant modify the multiplier, so do I just redo them? And what is the rear window defogger kit that Is on here so much? Where can I get one?

If you're using a regular athlon, duron, or athlon MP, the pencil bridges will work fine if done right. The defogger repair kit is used on the athlon XP.

Penciling will work. Make sure you're not crossing any of the bridges, just connecting them 2 at a time, and make sure you know which ones to do (L1). As long as it is the old socket A athlon it'll work
