Hey guys, I used to fold, but when I started OC'ing it was too much noise keeping the Prescott cool 24/7. But now I have a cooler proc and would like to start again. I have a few questions though, since I dont' have HT, how much will it slow down my gaming, I would rather not have to shut it down and lose progress every time. I'm only on my computer about 4 hours a day.
What GUI and how do I get started, many thanks.

Hi,
:welcome:
You can either DL Wedo's 1 click, or DL the 5.04 client from Standford.
Wedo's is verson 5.02 I think. very easy.
Please read some of the stickys there to help get it configured in your name.
I usually game 3 hours a week and shut down for that only.
Other than that, 24/7 :)
What setup are you going to run the FAH on?
cpu? memory? OS?

just use Wedo's OneClick (-adv version) and with either bigpocket=yes/no is up to you. I would said yes since you've got 2GB ram, but nowaday, many games would like 2GB ram tho...
also, on the same sticky, you can found the start/stop script that could start and stop the F@H service on the fly so (like me) when you want to game, just run the script the stop the service.
:welcome: back to folding!!
ya ... wedo's 1 click (pick the single instance, advmethods install) to get a folding service installed like warrior said, and get the start/stop service .bat like landshark suggested so you can stop it (if need be) for gaming. With the wu's these days, i don't think you need to bother with stopping the service to game ... it willl just be idle anyway with the game load on the system.
... I would set bigpackets=yes unless you only have modem internet access, and don't forget to edit your id into client.cfg too unless you want to contribute some folding royalties to Wedo for his awesome 1-click.
And :welcome: back to T32 folding!
