View Full Version : BF2 with Motorola SB5120 Modem Connection Problems
Just an FYI for you all. I upgraded my SB5100 Modem to a 5120 and had a big problem. The modem worked fine for everything exept BF2. CS source was fine, but with BF2 I kept getting connection problems all the time. I tried Reinstalling the game 20 times(with various changes :( )3 different 5120's, 2 new routers(opening ports/blah blah), 2 new NIC's, A totolly different PC, ect........ with no change. Anyway, I finally decided to buy another SB5100 and Everything is back to normal. Cox Cable Tech support thinks I am retarded since all my ping tests and what not looked fine with all the 5120's. I think they were sick of activating new modems for me :) That all aside I am here to tell you my story in case it helps another member out. So if any of you every have this issue or know someone that does lemme know. I need to know I was not alone on this one. TY

You know it was the weirdest thing. The modem D/L like a Mad man, surfed the net great and worked flawlessly. However, as soon as I got into a BF2 game it was connection problems non stop.
