Just d/l'd the nVidia beta 22.80 drivers from www.guru3d.com
So far, fine. No problems. Need to reinstall 3DMark2001 to compare to the 22.50's......

Can't remember where I read it, but the 22.80 are slighty (eg. 20+ points in 3DMark2k1) slower than 22.50... They had a Detonar comparison chart thingy, if that's any help to anyone.
I've d/l'd the 22.80, but after reading the comparison, decided that it's propably not worth the hassle of installing, running nvreffix, doing all the settings again.

3DMark2001 won't run all the tests under the 22.80's. ???
Trying the recent 21.88's now......

My 3dmark 2001 scores only incresed slightly with 22.50 to 22.80. My only problem was when I wake my pc up in the morning, I am greeted to an all white screen and have to reboot. So till they are final, I have gone back to 21.88's.

I'm back to the 21.88's just now.
Also d/l the 22.80's in an attempt to correct a problem I have with all the other XP drivers...still no go. Puter crashes back to desktop, freezes or reboots during 4th phase of 3DMk2K1...does it with all the new drivers...and now also does it with the 12.41's as well...I'm about to start tearing my hair out, and there is precious little left at this point. New drivers are cool, except when they are THIS much trouble!!! Damn thing runs fine in all other applications...just doesn't like to be benched, I guess...
About out of options, any suggestions?????

I'm sure you might have tried this, but what the heck?! I uninstalled the Detonators, used the Detonator Destroy util and reinstalled a basic vga driver. Rebooted again and then installed the 22.80's, I did the same when I went back to 21.83's.
That way I was sure that I had a good, clean install of the latest Dets. Too bad my screen was completely white and "frozen" whenever I tried to wake my comp up from sleep mode (22.80).
Good luck in trying to fix your problem...

I tried the 22.80's and compared to the 21.81's, they scored about 50 points higher in 3DMark2001 600X800 16 bit mode, and about the same in default mode. Image quality suffered a bit.
I'll stay with the 21.81's 'til something better proves itself.
