k i got my dd water kit going the block and my cube is sitting outside my window with a 105cfm fan on it this gets my water last night down to 6 degrees c (i live in north dakota) but the thing is is that my t-bird is at its lowest 21degrees c the pump is 180 gph but there is little flow threw the system compaired to just the pump by itself so i was wondering if a higher output pump 500gph or so would be better (i was looking at the on on www.overclock-watercool.com) and for a little under $20 bucks) i don't know im gong to switch to a evaporater for a certral air system form a house that has 1/2" copper lines and is three pass but anyway back to the point will a higher flow pump get my temps lower or is it just the C/Ws of the waterblock

thanks

I had a 150gph with the ddcube and maze2 and got no improvement going to 350gph and thin to 250gph

at 250gph now

try reseating your block and what thermal past do you have?

those temps are very high for that water temp

Personally, I'd lower the flow rate. Give the water more time to get through the radiator.

how are you monitoring the temp of the cpu? if it's via the bios, using the thermistor in socket, then you probably aren't getting an accurate reading at all, see the cpu will heat the air under the core and it will be hotter than the cpu core itself if you have great cooling like that. a solution to this would be to place some foam under the cpu in the socket hole, forming it around the thermistor lead, and make sure the thermistor is touching the base of the processor. A good comparison would be to install a digital thermometer lead under the block next to the cpu core, this would give you the best accuracy.

im using arctic silver and using the in socket thermister which doesn't touch the bottom (epox 8k7a+) its one of the big fat ones so yes this could be the problem i don't think its the seating (maybe to much ac?) at peak it has hit 42c so that is just not right with water at maybe 20c im finding the cpu is about 19-20 c hotter than my water the block had a small amount of condisation on it this morning with the water at 6.2c (radio shack therometer)

i also want to get a northbridge block too (im trying to make it a quiet as posible and still hit 1700+)

thanks again

remember when using A.C. after you put it on take a credit card or somethig and wipe it so theres only a thin layer. Also you might what to try a Pelt or T.E.C. same thing different names. I was using a watercooling kit with a pelt and i got my 1.1 T-Bird down to 9C at idle. Thats with the whole kit in my tower.

When I was running the Amazing Block or the old style Maze 2 and a Cooling Cube, I got the best results from a Danner Mag 7. Restricting the flow caused the temps to go up.

bad bad bad thing happened i came home this morning about 3 am and there a certain smell  im like oh s*** so i make my way upstairs and theres a blue screen, water on the floor, and the smell of burning plastic or pvc and solder so i turn it off take of the cover and theres my t-bird with a melted dd water block on it this thing is now kinda brownish and leaks the solder melted off the thing it turns out my stirofoam resivoir sprong a leak so any way im thinking if i have money to replace this 1.4 t-bird and maybe my 8k7a+ too well i took the block off dug out my sk6 and put it on set the multiplier to 6.5 and fsb to 100 vCore 1.8 pushed the button beep soon the post soon windows yes yes it lived ill try to go back to 1.4 later this morning im tired (was at my girlfriends;) )
but i don't get it way din't he bios kill the system i have it set at 60c damnit allwell it lived although the waterblock didn't but i wanted to get on of the new dd ones with the pelt bolted on it so what have i learned do trust stirofoam and do expect you family to get up to a pump chatering away and a burning smell
