got the boxed celly couldn't find an oem one how do i get the stock fan off, without jacking up the chip. Want to get water cooling and o/c to 1.5+ghz

Send Ol'Man a private message, aparently a razor blade used EXTREMELY carefully around the edge of the IHS will separate it.

Don't do anything until you get the scoop from him, I haven't done this yet as the need just hasn't been there.

Check on page 1 or 2 Ol Man posted pictures on how he took it off.. And talk to him before doing anything .. Little work can save so much misery :)

ummm guys, hes not asking about the heat spreader, hes askin about the heatsink/fan....hmmm do a search on how to remove the retail FCPGA fan on Google...
