when i bought my 1900xtx i did a bench run on 05 and i got 11250 i thought yea great not bad with me been on a single core cpu, but i just ran 05 again and i got 9399 thats a big hit on a score i mean could apps that i have installed over time result in this just seems wrong :bang head :eh?:

Yeah could be that u have more backgound programs running these days, this can cause a big drop.

is there a way to stop all apps from running for a short time while mark does a bench or is that not possible :eh?: :shrug: is it possible to run 3dmark05 in safemode with network ability :shrug:

goto start -> run -> type ''msconfig'' goto startup tab -> disable any program you dont want to boot along with windows

goto windows folder -> prefetch -> ctrl-a -> delete

it would seem i have fixed it not sure how like but i just got 19100 in 3dmark03 and 11330 in 05 so am happy now :)
