Ok, here's the deal:
When I bought my new board (DFI NF4 SLI-D) I got a 6800xt 256MB with it. I know you guys are all going to knock on that card's lack of pipes and stuff, so you have to think of it included in the price I paid, its not like I picked it out.
So anyway, its obvious that the single 6800xt is getting owned in games like F.E.A.R so I need to upgrade. I just wonder what you guys would buy...
For another of the exact card I have now its $114-$40 rebate:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130261
If I dont do that I'm looking at this 512MB X1800XT:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814102697
I know the X1800xt would probably be better, but I'm wondering if its $200+ better... Anyone know of any benchmarks comparing this exact setup? Anyone want to suggest a better solution than the ones I posted?
