if it is the same panel, then:
1. i hate you :) (i bought the dell 10 days ago)
2. seufari, rob a bank - it's worth the risk! (jk)

i know we always read about and evaluate all LCDs mostly based on size, gray-to-gray speed and contrast ratio, but i want to say that i was totally shocked (in a good way) when I saw the COLORS my dell pulled! my samsung looked almost with no colors at all. i did not know and did not expect anything even close to what i saw. (and i don't work for dell .. :P )

Are we sure this is the same panel? I'm really looking into a new LCD (my first) and i want the best deal obviously. Is there any confirmation here?

What puzzles me is that this BenQ is 8ms, and I know for a fact the Dell Widescreen isn't... b/c I've owned it. The 2005fps is 16ms... so what are we missing here... the Dell is just binned higher?

*EDIT*
http://computing.kelkoo.co.uk/b/a/ps_12408210/114401.html

That shows 2005fpw as 16ms... compare the rest.

D94 could you please link us to where you heard this rumor?

I was just about to post up this deal when I saw this thread. I almost bought this a couple days ago, but I decided to wait. I'm glad I did cause before there was no $40 instant rebate like there is now.

I read a few reviews on this LCD and everything has been good I have seen. This is the first I have heard of it being the same screen as the dell though, thats interesting. I'm ordering it today, I should have it tuesday so I'll know how good it is then.

I would definitely be interested in knowing for sure if this is the same panel. I was torn between the Dell 20 and the Viewsonic 19 but the Dell was a bit expensive for me. This is the perfect price.

Anyone know if this is a 6 or 8-bit panel? I guess it doesn't matter now since I just completed the checkout process on one, but I'm still a little curious.

Pretty sure it's 8bit. Isn't 16.7 million colors 8bit? I don't know much about LCD's if you can't tell ;)

d94 is pretty knowledgable, but I can't find anything to confirm that they are the same panel. Does anyone know for sure?

Research the VX2025. Was (?) 339 shipped from buy.com.

20.1 WS, supposedly same panel as a ~$700 NEC picture box.

I ordered mine thursday, and its scheduled to be deliverd today. Is there a way to look at it and see what panel it has?

I see that the price went up, I guess I got mine at the right time. ;)
