To all DC Project Teams

The OC.com Folding_Monkeys have a race scheduled to start on May 5th at 12:00 PM PST with the MaxPC Spider_Monkeys. This race carries with it a very heavy penality for the looser, 50,000 points folded for the winning team's team + the elimination of the loosing team name.

I am telling everyone this to let them know what is going to happen on May 5th when some of the team members of these new teams stop crunching for a little while as the Monkeys turn their full and considerable power towards the race.

We will however return once the race is over.

Anyone wishing to join the Folding_Monkeys talk to Garynator in the Folding room.

I was going to mention something about this but Oric beat me to it. On around May 3rd or 4th I'm going to have to pull all of my DC projects (that require cpu) for the race, including sb, ubero, rc5-72 and possibly mj12. But don't worry, as soon as we win the race, I'll definately make up for lost time :p

well i have folded for the folding_monkeys in the past so most of my cpu's at home are as good as theirs so i guess i need to start warming them up and stop the other DC projects :D

I figured out I can MJ12, RL, and DIMES running on my lappy with (virtually) no performance loss. Also, I'm only doing Ubero on a k6 and a p3 so I'm just leaving that one going. I'll have to stop RC5-72 and OGR-25 on my p4 but it's still going on my celery so it'll still be producing. Anything else with DIMES or RL will stay as is.
The contest starts 12:01am on FRIDAY!

Okay, it's over and we lost. I'm pretty bummed but we'll do better next time. Now it's time to pwn in all of our alt dc-projects! I'm thinking first I'll set up some sb and rc5-72 dedis. Then I'll go around and get all my dimes clients back up. Oh, and I can't forget about ubero. It's gonna be a busy couple of days!

IMO it's pretty disappointing how our FAH team has 700 active members, while dimes has 22, MJ12 4, SoB 5, and red library DLV about 5. Either people don't even know about our other DC teams (I didn't bother to check this section until a month ago) or they don't think they can participate in more than one DC project at a time.

Yarg! It sucks that we lost. :( But I thought we had lots more than 700 active folders on our team. :-/

True point you have about our other teams.. perhaps you could add some to your sig as I have done along with a few others. :)
