Anyone know how accurate MBM5 is? I know not to trust it 100%, but does it read somewhat close to actual temps are? I'm running a celly 800@1000, on an Asus TUV4X, with a modified pep66 (all I did was cut into the shroud so I could mount it). According to MBM, I'm running at 30°C under load (SETI), with the board at 23°C. Anyone know if this is close to what my temps really are?
It all depends on how accurate the sensors are. I checked mine with a compunurse and am within a degree celsius. my bios reading is almost the same as Motherboard Monitor. It is always a good idea to be cautious.
Hmm your mainboard seems to be right. .. 30 Degrees is your full load temperature?
I dont think that 30 is your full load.. Should be higher 30's.. Hm

That's what it was reading at the time I posted. I had the side of the case off at the time. It's on now, but I'm only hitting 32-35°C under load. MB is reading 31°C at this time. Need to get my hands on a compu-nurse or the like I geuss. Digital-doc would be really ideal, but christmas is comming up so I really don't have the cash to spare right now.
Is it always at 31 Degrees or does it move? If its staying then it could be a problem some what.

No, it fluctuates up and down, depending on room temperature, wether or not I have the side of the case on or not. The 31°C is the motherboard (northbridge) sensor. The one I'm concerned with is the CPU sensor. Which hit an all time high of 37°C under severe load (SETI, Sonique, and Swift3D).

Bios reading is not the same. The MBM temp will fluctuate as air changes, the CPU load changes, etc. It really depends from CPU to CPU on how good it is. You can really mess with the reading though if you want to. It is a very good tool to know if you are in danger or not.
