That would make good smoothwall hardware! My smoothwal is running on a P200mmx system but I'm keeping an old P3-500 katmai cpu and board in handy for when smoothwall 3.0 comes out...

you can use it as a file server.

Yep it's a very good linux based firewall/internet gateway/router that runs on a stand-alone dedicated PC. I share my Internet connection with the neighbours and found I had to reset my linksys router every 3-4 days when the both of us were running bittorrent 24/7. With smoothwall it's rock-solid. In fact I have to reset a network switch that's hooked up behind it every 4 months while smoothwall remains fine!

yes. smoothwall turns a computer into a hardware firewall.
internet->smoothwall->router/switch->your computer[s]
check out smoothwall.org for more info.

Smoothwall is also a router, so it should be hooked up like this;
internet->smoothwall->switch->your computers

Some nice ideas. So smoothwall is kool for the hardware firewall. So what about a file server? How would I go about that? Also on a side note. I would like to change the PSU on this thing. Where could I find one?
