I had to RMA my 7900gtx and a lot of other people have had to for freezing, artifacting, etc.

To be safe, I'd just go w/ the x1900xtx or wait until E3 and see what's around the corner, and perhaps something will be released during E3 like last year. :)

I'd go for the x1900xtx. The 7900xtx seem to having problems w/ artifacting @ stock speeds, plus their image quality ist as good as that of ati. No HDR+FSAA as well.
