I have an HP DeskJet 648C and I run it through USB. I first installed it yesterday and it was working fine. Today however it took 15 minutes about to send the info to the printer and it was extremely slow. I believe that the buffer to the usb is not working right. Is there an option in Windows 2000 to mess with the buffer transfer rate? BTW it works fine with my laptop that runs Windows98.

Did you download the lastest drivers? Is it plugged in correctly?

Yep, and Yep to your other question. It is not transfering the data very well. I need to mess with the buffer, but I don't know how to do it.

I'm having a similar problem with a usb card reader for my camera. I install the drivers and plug in the device, it reconizes it, the hangs. If i reboot with it plugged in i get BSOD saying something wrong with NTOSKERNAL. unplug the devise and win2000 runs fine.i have installed current drivers and reduced FSB to see if either was causing the problem. Any help?
