Alright guys, I know I don't have the best PC around, but I feel like I should be getting better performanced based on what scores other people around here are getting, so I'll get straight to it, let me know if you think my scores are low too...
3dMark05 Score: 4400
ASUS K8N Motherboard
AMD Athlon 3400+ (OC'd to 2.52 GHz)
2GB OCZ Platinum Series RAM (2-3-2-5 timings, DDR 400)
250GB WD SATA HDD
ATI Radeon x850 XT (256 MB)
And I think thats all that really matters for this... let me know what you all think please!

Hello Michael,
Card clocks are important, and you didn't mention those. Really your best bet is to compare with other scores on the ORB, that is what it's for after all ;) You'll need to submit your score(s) and create a login to do that.
Chances are though, your not running with not the optimal driver settings.

quick update, I recently ran another 3dMark05 test with my new RAM (the same OCZ ram as before, but I had to RMA that because it was messed up) and I got 6207, does that sound more like what it should be? because I am pleased :)

:welcome: to the forums!!!!!
6K with your setup isn't bad. However if you tell us what your card clocks are we can better determine if your system is below average, average or above average. We like screenies and pictures too. :D

well oddly enough, I get far better 3dMark05 scores running the stock clocks on my x850, when I overclock the video card, my scores drop significantly. I don't know how to explain this, but I will tell you I'm running 520 core/540 memory on the card now...
